Bain Capital helps Boston Children’s Hospital raise $3.5 million at annual Champions for Children’s gala Sankaty Advisors Managing Director Jeff Robinson (center) with fellow Champions for Children’s co-chairs Douglass Karp and Brian Kavoogian

On December 1, Bain Capital Community Partnership once again served as the presenting sponsor for Boston Children’s Hospital’s annual Champions for Children’s dinner and auction. This year’s event raised $3.5 million for the patients and families of Boston Children’s Hospital.

The event, held at the Seaport World Trade Center, was attended by supporters, business leaders, and athletes from the Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and New England Revolution. New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty received the 2015 Champion award for his dedication to supporting kids and tackling sickle cell disease.

Bain Capital Credit Managing Director Jeff Robinson served as co-chair of the event.

“It’s always exciting to see everyone come together in support of such an inspiring and meaningful cause,” he said. “I’m proud that Bain Capital has played such an influential role in supporting these children in need.”

Bain Capital has been a strong supporter of Boston Children’s Hospital for more than 20 years, contributing more than $30 million in support of the hospital’s mission to advance patient care, research and community health. For example, earlier this year Bain Capital sponsored the hospital’s Miles for Miracles team for the Boston Marathon, raising $1.5 million to support pediatric treatment programs.

Since its inaugural fundraiser in 1997, Champions for Children’s has raised $38 million to benefit the hospital’s areas of greatest and make a life-changing impact on the lives of the countless children and families it serves.
