Emily James

EXPERIENCE

Emily James rejoined Bain Capital in 2022 as Vice President of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) after spending three years at MIT Sloan, advising students within the Master of Finance and MBA programs and incorporating DEI best practices into staff and student programming.

Prior to Sloan, Emily was a member of Bain Capital’s North America Private Equity HR team, supporting investment professionals’ full career path. Before Bain Capital, she held positions at McKinsey & Company in Boston on their recruiting team and in the development office for Emmanuel College.

EDUCATION

Emily received an MS in human resource management from Emmanuel College and a BA in psychology from Connecticut College, where she graduated summa cum laude.
