EXPERIENCE

Hannah Bend joined Bain Capital in 2026. She is Vice President of Data Governance on the Private Equity team, focused on establishing and evolving the team's data governance capabilities at the intersection of enterprise data strategy and AI. Hannah is responsible for ensuring that data is consistently defined and contextualized so that finance, investment teams, and investor relations can access and interpret it with confidence, enabling automated reporting and more effective use of AI across the business.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Hannah worked at HarbourVest Partners in a variety of positions across data and portfolio analytics. Most recently, she was a Senior Vice President in IT, overseeing data engineering, data governance, and enterprise analytics. Prior to that, she established the firm's enterprise reporting and analytics system, founded the data science team, and led the global data fluency program.

EDUCATION

Hannah received a Graduate Certification in data science from Harvard and her BS in mathematics, specializing in statistics, from Boston University.
