Leonard Feiner, MD, PhD

EXPERIENCE
Dr. Leonard Feiner joined Bain Capital in 2021. He is a Principal on the Life Sciences team.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Leonard was a vitreoretinal surgeon in clinical practice and principal investigator in more than 50 clinical trials for macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, retinal vein occlusion, and other retinal diseases.
EDUCATION
Leonard graduated from Princeton University magna cum laude with a degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering. He received an MD/PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in surgical retina at Washington University in St. Louis.
