EXPERIENCE

Rafael Mason joined Bain Capital in 2022. He is a Partner on the Special Situations team and a member of the North America Portfolio Group. 

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Rafael spent a decade at American Express running a number of businesses in the US and international markets.  Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Premium Products, where he was responsible for some of American Express’ largest P&L’s including the US Platinum portfolio. Prior to American Express, Rafael was a Vice President in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs. 

EDUCATION

Rafael is a graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School. He was also a Fulbright Scholar to France.
