Satoshi Ueyama

EXPERIENCE

Satoshi Ueyama rejoined Bain Capital in 2026. He is a Chief Strategist for the Japan Business, providing strategic analysis and guidance across multiple verticals of the private equity business as well as new business initiatives in the region.

Prior to rejoining Bain Capital, he was a founding partner of Janchor Partners, a Hong Kong-based public equity investment manager. He led its Japan investment research practices, contributed to Janchor’s growth from scratch to one of the most successful boutique investment managers in the region. He was also one of the start-up members of Bain Capital Tokyo office in 2006.

EDUCATION

Satoshi received a BS and a MS in biochemistry from Kyoto University.
