EXPERIENCE

Sofia Maroudia joined Bain Capital in 2022. She is a Managing Director in the Portfolio Group and a member of the Europe Private Equity team. Sofia focuses on the ESG agenda across our portfolio companies in Europe.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Sofia was Head of ESG at Snam, Europe’s leading operator in natural gas transport and storage. She started her career at Goldman Sachs where she was Executive Vice President in the Fixed Income Division. Sofia subsequently worked in the Financial Institutions Group at Boston Consulting Group before being appointed COO for ActionAid Italy, an international development nonprofit organization.
 

EDUCATION

Sofia received a BA in law from the University of Cambridge. She also received a BA and MA in politics and modern history from The University of Edinburgh.
