Sumit Gupta

EXPERIENCE

Sumit Gupta joined Bain Capital in 2025. He is an Operating Partner Specialist in the North America Private Equity Portfolio Group focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data and Analytics efforts.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Sumit led Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning platforms and products at JP Morgan Chase, and before that he held a variety of global leadership roles for a decade at Google. Sumit spent his early career in venture capital, strategy consulting, and technology product development.

EDUCATION

Sumit received his MBA in Strategy and Finance from Northwestern, an MS in Computer Science from Texas A&M, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
