On Monday, May 7, a group of Bain Capital lawyers from the Boston office attended a Project Citizenship workshop as part of a new pro bono partnership between Bain Capital and Ropes & Gray. As part of this partnership, Ropes & Gray will make its legal pro bono opportunities and infrastructure available to lawyers working at Bain Capital. This will provide access to pro bono programs and opportunities in the Boston area that are not typically available to attorneys once they leave the law firm environment. 

Project Citizenship is a nonprofit agency that provides free legal assistance to legal permanent residents who seek to become U.S. citizens.   Project Citizenship offers free workshops, eligibility screening, application assistance, legal referrals and all materials needed to apply for U.S. citizenship.  Since 2011, the Project Citizenship network of community providers has assisted over 21,438 immigrants from 152 countries of origin and helped 15,487 apply for citizenship.
