Boston Children’s Hospital 2018 Eversource Walk for Kids

On Sunday, June 11, nearly 5,400 walkers gathered at the DCR Hatch Shell in Boston, MA to take part in the 13th annual Eversource Walk for Boston Children's Hospital (BCH). As in years past, Bain Capital Community Partnership (BCCP) served as a sponsor of the 2018 Walk. Team Bain Capital included 35 participants, comprised of employees, family, and friends. To date, the team has raised a total of $24,700 to support critical research, patient care and community health programs at BCH.

The Eversource Walk is BCH's largest single-day event with thousands of patient families, doctors, nurses, and corporate sponsors participating each year. The money raised by this event through the support of walkers and fundraisers will be used to support the groundbreaking work taking place at BCH.  The Walk started at the DCR Hatch Shell in Boston, MA. The scenic route along the Charles River will be full of food, fun and music.

Funds raised from the Eversource Walk support BCH's Children's Fund and benefit areas of greatest need – from funding the groundbreaking work taking place in BCH's world-renowned research programs to covering housing for families.

"This event provides a unique opportunity to be able to support our local Boston community and hospital, all while spending the day with family and friends," said Bain Capital Vice President and team captain Greg Hegerich. "The support across the entire firm was greatly appreciated, and we would like to extend a big thank you to all!"

Thank you to all who participated in this great effort in supporting countless of children and their families who rely on the care of BCH.
