Bain Capital Community Partnership sponsors 13th Annual Good Sports Gala

On April 29, Good Sports – an organization dedicated to providing young people with athletic equipment in support of a healthy lifestyle – hosted its 13th Annual Legends of the Ball Boston gala. Bain Capital Community Partnership (BCCP) once again supported the event as a Hall of Fame sponsor, contributing $25,000 to the record-breaking $500,000 raised.

Mike Krupka, a Managing Director at Bain Capital Ventures, and Paul Edgerley, Senior Advisor at Bain Capital Private Equity, represented the firm at the event alongside a number of their colleagues.

They joined more than 500 sports and business leaders and professionals at the InterContinental Hotel for an evening of food drinks, music, dancing and a wide variety of live and silent auction items. Notable guests included Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, Boston Bruins Goalie Tuukka Rask and Philadelphia Eagles Linebacker Connor Barwin, who was recognized as this year's Good Sport in Sports.

Bain Capital has supported Good Sports since 2004, one year after the organization was founded. Since then, current and former employees have volunteered their time and effort in support of Good Sports' mission to get more kids "in the game," and have given almost $100,000 in donations.

The 2015 gala featured Bain Capital Credit Managing Director and current Good Sports Board Member Kyle Betty as an introductory speaker. BCCP's Hall of Fame sponsorship contributed $25,000 to the 2015 event, which raised $465,000 in total. BCCP was also inducted into the Good Sports Founder's Circle, which recognizes the organization's top supporters. For more information about Good Sports, please click here.
