Supporting its customers, employees, partners and communities in fighting the pandemic through various initiatives

Providing essential services and ensuring customer convenience during lockdown, while maintaining infection control protocols

More than 99% of Axis Bank branches, 96% of ATMs, most back offices and call centres remained functional during the lockdown phase, providing all essential services to customers in these crucial times. The bank prioritized use of its digital solutions and provided access to more than 250 products and banking services digitally, waived several charges and provided moratorium facility to its customers, and launched Axis Bank Mobile ATMs in different cities of India to facilitate accessibility of cash to customers.

Supporting local communities

Axis Bank set aside Rs.100 crore for COVID-related assistance and employees contributed a day’s salary to the PM CARES Fund. Axis Bank Foundation is supporting livelihood projects in rural India to address COVID-related challenges, arranging grocery kits in 7 urban locations that will help feed 35,000 people for a month. The Foundation is also working closely with over 30 implementation partners in 20 states towards augmenting on-ground activities and supporting livelihoods of marginalized communities. The bank extended support to paramilitary forces, police, health care institutions and hospitals by providing safety equipment, masks, sanitizers, and PPE kits.
