MADRID, May 29, 2018 - Habitat Inmobiliaria has appointed José C. Saz as the CEO and top executive of the company. José C. Saz will focus on driving the company's growth in the Spanish property market through an active investment policy. The objective: for Habitat to become one of the leading companies in the country´s real estate sector.
With the appointment of José C Saz, supported by Bain Capital Credit, Habitat begins a new period. Its key focus will be on the development of high quality real estate projects, close to Spain’s main cities. "We are focused on finding excellent business opportunities in developing quality projects in the main real estate markets of Spain". José C Saz said.

José C Saz is an Industrial Engineer from the School of Industrial Engineers of Madrid and PDD from IESE. He has extensive experience in the real estate, construction and
Project Management sectors, both nationally and internationally throughout Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
He has held several positions of responsibility in recognized companies in the sector such as LV Salamanca Ingenieros, Abengoa and Mutua Madrileña. Saz was the CEO for Spain of Mace and afterwards appointed CEO for Europe and Latin America. He also held the position of CEO for Europe of the British construction company, ISG. Following this, he held the position of General Chief Operations Officer in Neinor Homes.
José C Saz has, for the last few years, combined his work as Vice President of AECMA (Spanish Association of Project Management) with his responsibility as Professor of the Masters Programme in Project Management (MeDIP) at the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Since Bain Capital Credit acquired the company, Habitat has already started the delivery of two significant real estate projects: the Juncal residential development, located in Alcobendas (Madrid), and Parc de Can Mercader in Cornella, (Barcelona).
During the next twelve months, Habitat will finish several projects currently under development in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Seville, Córdoba, Valencia and Las Palmas and will have delivered more than 550 houses.
Habitat, with its headquarters in Madrid, has recently restarted its land acquisition plan to develop more than 420 new houses. The company has one of the most important land banks of Spain with the potential to develop more than 8,000 new properties.
