Experience

Ashish Kotecha joined Bain Capital in 2010. He is a Partner and a member of the Asia Pacific Private Equity team. Ashish also leads the Portfolio Group in Asia, working actively with companies across the region including in India, Australia, China, and Korea.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Ashish was the Acting Chief Operating Officer at Tourneau, a Leonard Green & Partners portfolio company. Previously, he was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company in San Francisco where he consulted in the consumer, retail, and TMT industries. Ashish also co-founded and led McKinsey's Retail Private Equity service line. Prior to that, he worked at Goldman Sachs.


Education

Ashish received an MBA with honors from The Anderson School at UCLA. He holds a Master of Commerce and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
