David Humphrey

Experience

Mr. Humphrey joined Bain Capital in 2001. He is a Partner and Global Head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Vertical and Co-Head of Bain Capital’s North American Private Equity business. Mr. Humphrey works in the Boston office and focuses on investments in the application software, infrastructure software and cybersecurity sectors. He has also plays a leading role in the firm’s recruiting, training and professional development efforts.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Humphrey was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers’ mergers & acquisitions group, where he advised companies on mergers and acquisitions across a range of industries.


Education

Mr. Humphrey received an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar and a Henry Ford II Scholar. He graduated cum laude with an AB in economics from Harvard College.
