Faraz joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2018 as an investor focused on early- to mid-stage consumer and enterprise software out of the firm’s San Francisco office. Faraz focuses on investments in consumer and enterprise software companies, helping entrepreneurs build successful businesses and working across all aspects of the deal process, including sourcing, due diligence, execution, and portfolio support.

Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Faraz externed at TPG Growth, covering the consumer and retail, fintech, edtech, and enterprise software spaces. Before TPG, Faraz was a management consultant in Bain & Company’s San Francisco office, advising clients on strategic growth and investment opportunities across the tech and private equity practice areas.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Faraz is a die-hard Bay Area sports fan. Outside of work, Faraz enjoys playing basketball, live music (especially hip-hop and country), traveling, and further developing his passion for mixology.


Faraz graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business. While at Cal, Faraz served in leadership roles within several organizations, including Berkeley Consulting, the Undergraduate Finance Associate, and Sigma Chi Fraternity.
