Frank Yao

Frank Yao

Experience

Mr. Yao joined Bain Capital in early 2008. He is a Managing Director in the Portfolio Group and a member of the Asian Pacific Private Equity team. Mr. Yao has worked in both our Boston and Shanghai offices and focuses on portfolio management in the consumer and retail, industrial, technology and business service sectors, with extensive experience in complex cross border deals.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Yao worked at Bain & Company in the Palo Alto office, where he managed engagements for clients in high tech, consumer products, and financial services sectors. Previously, he was a consultant with Mercer Management Consulting and also worked at Schneider Electric in sales and marketing.


Education

Mr. Yao received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and his BS from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
