Gray Stephens

EXPERIENCE

Gray Stephens joined Bain Capital in 2018. He is a Vice President and the Head of Fund Tax for the Real Estate business.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Gray worked in EY’s tax practice as a CPA, focusing on tax and transactional matters for private equity funds and multinational companies. Previously, he worked with Ropes & Gray LLP as a tax attorney representing institutional investors in private real estate fund investments, REIT joint ventures, and other transactions.

EDUCATION

Gray received a JD cum laude from the North Carolina School of Law. He received an MA in accounting and a BS in business administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
