John Kufner

John Kufner

Experience

Mr. Kufner joined Bain Capital in 2020. He is a Managing Director in the Portfolio Group and a member of the North American Private Equity team. He is focused on procurement excellence, driving cost reduction/productivity programs and building capabilities across our portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Kufner held Procurement, Supply Chain and Operational leadership roles at Owens Corning, Masonite International, First Solar and Fortune Brands over the last 20+ years.  Key responsibilities have included; global sourcing/contracting, cost management, supplier development, working capital optimization, sales and operations planning and distribution/logistics performance.  

 


Education

Mr. Kufner has a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Illonois Institute of Technology and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management / Northwestern University.
