EXPERIENCE

Linford Coates joined Bain Capital in 2018. He is the Associate General Counsel for Europe Private Equity.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Linford was a corporate attorney in the London offices of two US law firms, White & Case LLP and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, primarily focused on private equity transactions across Europe and Africa. Before starting a career in law, Linford spent time working in the investment management division of Lehman Brothers.

EDUCATION

Linford received a 1st class LLB honours degree in law with economics from the University of Edinburgh. During his undergraduate degree, he also studied JD and MBA courses at the University of Texas in Austin.
