Experience

Mr. Popoli joined Bain Capital in 2021. He is a Partner and the Global Head of Bain Capital Insurance based in Boston.  Mr. Popoli has more than 20 years of experience investing in the insurance industry and building leading insurance businesses.
              
Previously, Mr. Popoli founded Insurance Capital Group, an insurance-focused permanent capital vehicle in which affiliates of Bain Capital, LP made a significant equity investment in 2018. Earlier in his career, Mr. Popoli was a Partner and Member of the Investment Committee of Reservoir Capital Group, where he led the firm’s financial services investing activities. Prior to that, he served as a Principal of Capital Z Partners and began his career at Morgan Stanley & Co. as an Investment Banking Analyst.

Mr. Popoli received a B.A. from Amherst College.
