Matthew Calistri

Experience

Matt Calistri joined Bain Capital in 2024. He is a Managing Director in the Portfolio Group for the Life Sciences business.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Matt spent four years at Cerevel Therapeutics in several key roles including Vice President of Investor Relations and Vice President of Corporate Strategy. He was an integral part of the team that took Cerevel public and raised over $2 billion in capital before Cerevel was acquired by AbbVie for $8.7 billion. Previously, Matt was Vice President of Investor Relations at Sage and Vice President of Investor Relations at Biogen where he initially started in Corporate Strategy. Before pivoting to the biopharma industry, Matt held leadership roles in financial services, most notably at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), where he grew revenues, opened and managed the Boston office, and ran the North America Financial Services Practice. Matt has also held roles at ITG, UBS, Bankers Trust, and E&Y.


Education

Matt received an MBA in finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in accounting from Fordham University Gabelli School of Business.
