Dr. Nick Gattas joined Bain Capital in 2018. He is a Principal and a member of the Asia Pacific Private Equity team, focusing on investments in the Healthcare and Industrials vertical . Previously, he was a member of the North America Private Equity team.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Nick was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company in Sydney and Boston, where he advised clients in healthcare, retail, and commodities as part of the strategy and Recovery & Transformation Services practices. Nick began his career in academic surgery, where he published five papers in robotic pediatric surgery.
Education
Nick received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Menzies Scholar, Baker Scholar, and Henry Ford II Scholar. He received his medical degree from the University of Queensland, Australia, where he graduated as valedictorian. He also received a BA in Russian and Islamic studies and GCert in healthcare executive leadership from the University of Queensland.
