Experience
Dr. Gattas joined Bain Capital in 2018. He is a Principal on the Asian Pacific Private Equity team and is based in the Tokyo office. Previously, he was a member of the North American Private Equity team in the Industrials Vertical.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Dr. Gattas was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company in Sydney and Boston, where he advised clients in healthcare, retail and commodities as part of the strategy and Recovery & Transformation Services practices. Prior to McKinsey, he began his career in academic surgery, where he published five papers in robotic pediatric surgery.
Education
Dr. Gattas received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Menzies Scholar, Baker Scholar and Henry Ford II Scholar. He received his medical degree from the University of Queensland, Australia, where he graduated as valedictorian. He also received a BA in Russian and Islamic Studies and GCert in Healthcare Executive Leadership from the University of Queensland.
