Stephen Pagliuca

EXPERIENCE

Steve Pagliuca joined Bain Capital in 1989 and is a Senior Advisory Partner to the firm.  He served as Co-Chair of the firm from 2016 – 2022.

Steve has played a leading role in a wide spectrum of prominent technology, media, telecommunications, and financial services businesses in which Bain Capital has made investments.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Steve was at Bain & Company where he advised many Fortune 500 companies on business strategy and growth initiatives.

Steve is an owner of Atalanta BC, a football club that competes in Italy’s Serie A.  He is the former Managing General Partner and co-owner of the Boston Celtics. He is also active in a number of charitable and civic activities. He and his wife, Judy, drove the creation of the Pagliuca Harvard Life Lab, a shared space for high-potential life sciences and biotech startups founded by Harvard faculty, alumni, students, and postdoctoral scholars. He is also an emeritus trustee of Duke University.

EDUCATION

Steve received a BA from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
