Bain Capital Participates in 2018 Peak 24 Race in Hong Kong

On Saturday, April 14, two teams of Bain Capital employees from the Hong Kong office joined more than 400 participants in the 4th Annual Peak 24.

Peak24 is a one of a kind, relay-style, long distance race on Victoria Peak in Hong Kong that aims to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. Every 24 hours, 5500 men, women and children become victims of slavery. This year, funds raised by Peak24 will contribute to Operation24, a partnership project with The Exodus Road, to rescue victims of human trafficking and contribute to investigation and training for low enforcement officers around the globe.

This year, participants included Venus Choi, Vanessa Gao, Han Chong, Vanessa Yeung, Chen Qian, Matt Liu, Martina Yu, Derek Li, Wanjin Park, Emmy Han, Yangrui Lin, Justin Zuo, and Fan Wu.

Both of the Bain Capital teams completed the marathon relay within 3.5 hours, ranking in the 2nd quartile. On top of a successful race, Bain Capital was able to raise HKD 101,888 (~$13,000) from 15+ individuals, making us again the largest fundraiser for the event.

Sincere thanks to all who generously made a donation, participated in the relay, and to those who came to cheer the runners on!
