On Wednesday, April 12, more than 70 Bain Capital employees participated in a service day with City Year. The day focused on supporting the corps members as they work with students to improve their attendance, behavior and coursework performance.
Volunteers created:
600 student supply kits and 35 classroom supply kits for the Young Achievers Pilot School with pencils, eraser, bookmark and other supplies to ensure success in the classrooms.
100 Calm Down kits to support students' social-emotional learning and 3 large motivational MCAS banners for the Blackstone Innovation School.
Six murals to be displayed around the Grew Elementary school to support their strong school values.
