​On Saturday, May 18, Bain Capital employees from the Hong Kong office participated in the 5th annual Peak 24 event – a 30km relay race to raise awareness and funds to fight against modern-day slavery and human trafficking.

This year's Peak24 event, as in the years past, supported Operation24, a partnership with The Exodus Road to rescue men, women and children from human trafficking. The International Labor Organizations estimates that there are more than 40 million victims of human trafficking and modern slavery globally, and 25% of them are children. The mission of the race is to end slavery by creating a generation of people aware of the issue.

Bain Capital raised ~$15,000 (HKD 114,693) for the cause, beating our historical record and maintaining the title as largest fundraiser for the event.
