Team Bain Capital One of Top Ten Fundraising Teams for Cycle for Survival

During February and March, 65 Bain Capital employees representing all business units teamed up with family, friends, and fellow supporters to participate in Cycle for Survival events across the United States. The annual nationwide events provide a tangible way for participants to "Join the Battle!" against rare, under-funded cancers (which, statistically, comprise 50% of all cancer diagnoses). Riders collaborate with their teams to raise money for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and pedal along with hundreds of other cancer survivors, family members, and friends who ride in memory or in honor of loved ones.  Donations from Cycle for Survival have funded over 100 new clinical trials and led to major breakthrough in technology and treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

Participating under the Bain Capital Community Partnership (BCCP) umbrella for the sixth consecutive year, teams riding in Boston, San Francisco and New York raised nearly $260,000, placing us among the top 10 fundraising teams in the country. Cycle for Survival 2018 raised more than $39 million for Memorial Sloan-Kettering, bringing the overall fundraising total to more than $180 million since the ride began in 2007.

On behalf of the entire Bain Capital Community Partnership team, we want to give our heartfelt thanks to all those who participated and donated to help make the 2018 Cycle for Survival events a great success. We look forward to seeing you in 2019!
