In June, nearly 250 volunteers from the Bain Capital Shared Services group served the Boston community by working together to transform the Joseph Lee K-8 school.
The volunteer efforts helped to revitalize entrance areas, the schoolyard, main hallways, and classroom spaces while also providing needed resources for students and teachers.
Projects included:
- Repainting the first-floor hallway and central stairwell
- Repainting 16 classrooms, office, conference room and sensory area
- Packing more than 1000 student, classroom and toiletry supply kits
- Building 4 benches and 6 bookcases
- Painting 3 murals and 1 schoolyard graphic
