Bain Capital Children's Charity (BCCC) recently completed the distribution of more than $1.6 million in donations to 130 nonprofit organizations devoted to supporting and caring for children. The funds were donated to a broad range of organizations based primarily in the United States that are focused on education, healthcare, music and the arts, child development and mentoring.
Since 1997, BCCC has provided more than $55 million in philanthropic support to nearly 350 organizations dedicated to supporting children around the world. BCCC raises funds via an annual golf tournament attended by many of the firm's partners. The funds raised during the event are then matched by Managing Directors to make up the total funds allocated for the year.
Each of the selected organizations was nominated for funding by a Bain Capital employee. Organizations that were selected to receive support this year include:
